 CHURCHILL ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL COUNCIL

Mini-Email Blast for Tuesday, February 7nd

1.   Rocks and Rings Presentations:  It is a indoor gym curling program that all students (grades 1-6) will be enjoying.  We currently have collected $2 from many students however are still over 50 students short.  Could you please send in your money as soon as possible so we are able to pay in full.

2.   Canal Skate:  Many of us are heading to the canal to go skating on Thursday.  We would ask that all permission forms are returned by tomorrow as we then have to organize making arrangements for students that are not coming, ensuring we have enough volunteers, etc.

3.   A Message From Ray:

Hello to all Rockers, and Rock Fans;

This year the School of Rock is taking things to the next level with our seventh big show at Summit Auditorium on May 4th, and a special appearance on the stage at Westfest on June 10th.  We are in need of a parent volunteer with some graphic design experience to help turn the visions of the students into a cool logo for our t-shirts.

In addition we need someone to coordinate the ordering of t-shirts, and the collection/organization of the orders for shirts and dvd's.  I have the spreadsheets and order forms from previous years available to work with, but I need someone to spearhead this project.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and the results of your efforts will be seen throughout our community for years to come.

Please let Ray and Megan know if you are able to help with either task in any way.

Regards, Ray Kalynuk, and the S of R Crew

4.    Movie Night:  Just a reminder that we'd love to see you on Friday at Movie night.  The movie will start at 6:15pm and is A Dolphin Tale - rated G.  Tickets are $2 a person.  You will also be able to buy your tickets for the Dr. Gordon Neufeld evening.  Tickets are $20.00.  Cash or Cheque accepted.

5.   Winter Walk:  Don't forget that tomorrow is Winter Walk to School activities.  The committee has been hard at work to ensure our students enjoy their morning!  There will be music, games and hot drinks for everyone.  We challenge you to drop your child off at Kenwood and Edison from 7:45-7:55 and they will be able to walk the rest of the way to school with the Dovercat!
