Churchill Community

One of our missions at Churchill is to create a sense of community. We build events into our school year, such as the Family Breakfast, to bring teachers, parents, and students together. We strive to create an atmosphere where members of our community feel welcome throughout the building. We want everyone to have a feeling of ownership, using all our spaces to maximum capacity.

Since Churchill is a cooperative community, if you have a concern or problem please follow these steps until you reach a satisfactory resolution:

  1. discuss issue with the teacher,
  2. discuss issue with the principal,
  3. express concern to our superintendent, then
  4. approach our trustee.

We hope that all teachers will get to know each Churchill child and that all our students will know our teachers. This is a key part of our ongoing effort to build a strong community. As well, Churchill has an open door policy for parents. Parents are welcome any time in the classroom. It is our goal to see at least one parent in every classroom—every day—actively participating in the classroom.
