This year's School of Rock theme is “R.O.C.K. from the U.S.A.”. It will be presented at the Fisher/Summit school.
- Daytime presentation: 12:30 P.M.
- Evening presentation (for family and community): 7:00 P.M.
All classes from Churchill will be walking over to the Fisher Park/Summit auditorium for a special daytime presentation by the Churchill School of Rock (aka the junior choir). This is our fifth annual installment of the S of R, and it is shaping up to be our best yet. It should prove to be a great school event, and a wonderful chance to see our junior students shine. Classes will be having an earlier second nutrition break, so that they can be ready to leave the school in time to make the performance. The approximate running time for the show is 1h20min.
Volunteers will be needed to travel over with each class (rain or shine, so dress for it). Students in Kindergarten, and Grades 1/2 will be bussed to the show. The busses leave at 12:10 approx. Grade 3/4 and 5/6 will be leaving to walk to the show at 11:45am. The walk is approx 35min, and we will be taking the Byron pathway. We will return to school the same way we traveled there.
